Our server, Sally, was warm and attentive, sharing the day's specials and giving us insight into the menu options. For our appetizers, we both chose the chilled shrimp, which was amazing! Each serving featured five jumbo shrimp (and they truly were jumbo!) served on ice with a cocktail sauce that had a nice kick of horseradish.
For our main course, we selected steaks, which included a choice of two side dishes. This was my third visit to Taylor's and each visit I have taken someone who has never been there before. My only recommendation would be for the owners to change the table covers as the last 2 visits, the table clothes have gotten caught on something and pulled things off the table onto the floor. Twice the last time... too long on the sides. Other than that, the food was FANTASTIC. I had the large Spencer with all the trim. I could not have asked for a better meal. After several attempts to speak with a manager or Bruce, the owner, I have yet to receive a return call. It seems there is never a manager available to take calls, and Bruce has not responded to the messages I've left with the helpful girl who took my calls. The takeaway here is clear: buyer beware at Taylor's. Be sure to inquire about prices, and if you wish to voice a concern to management, be aware that they seem disinterested. Also, if your kids want to take you to dinner here, make sure you have some extra cash on hand. While it won't alleviate their embarrassment for not being able to cover the bill, at least it will settle the total.

My husband and I dined here for the first time with another couple on a Saturday night and we loved it! The ambiance was old fashioned fun with big red booths and western themed pictures on the walls! Our waitress was wonderful seemed like she had been there from the beginning! The food was all great steaks were done perfectly! The ONLY issue was they forgot to bring our creamed spinach and mushroom sides, but turns out we were so full after the appetizers, salads and steaks, we probably wouldn't have been able to finish them anyway! We'll definitely be back, and we'll be sure to try those sides! Fun evening!

We come all the way up from Orange County to have a great STEAK dinner. We were bringing my mom and having dinner with more local residents. I made reservations on open table and also called to confirm. When we arrived we were going to be seated OUTSIDE on the PATIO. This restaurant is old school and is dark with the red leather booths, and outside is a totally different feel and HOT. We did not want to sit out there and asked to NOT be and they found us a table. The service was not as good as normal however and that night was particularly busy for some reason.
We received excellent service for our group. Three out of five of us really enjoyed our steaks. Two members ordered the special bone-in Ribeye, which was flavorful but a bit tough. All the sides were delicious, and the dessert was fantastic. We'll definitely come back, but we won't order the bone-in Ribeye again.
This place has been in La Canada for years. It is an up-to-date steak house. The service is great, the food is fabulous and the parking is free. I had Halibut and it was wonderful. The rest of my party had the special, "Surf and Turf. They loved it.
This is another one of my favorites; I've been coming here for special occasions for twenty years. The steak competes with the 'big name' chains, but has a unique charm that sets it apart.

I've never had a bad meal at Taylor's. Great steaks! The service was superb too. A must if you want a nice dinner for the money.
The food and service were spot on as usual. Would recommend to anyone.
