"You may be familiar with the original Tentatsu restaurant in East Van, by Hastings and Nanaimo. Tentatsu recently just opened their second location in Burnaby, about a 8 minute drive from the original!. The boyfriend and I decided to try it on a whim one evening."

Excellent value for money. Good food and huge portions. <br/ <br/ We were headed to Sushi Oumo but it was closed. Tentatsu was near by and open so we decided to give it a go. It was displaying a 'grand opening ' sign and looked relatively new inside. We thought it was likely to be clean and reasonably fresh. It was...<br/ <br/ The menu was rather large with multiple create your own combo options for $8.95. My friends ordered two of these and a normal bento box for their kids. <br/ <br/ We ordered the same bento for the kids and a selection of dishes for ourselves. <br/ <br/ The bento came with chicken teriyaki Don (rice), udon noodle soup, agadashi tofu, salad, ebi sunomono, miso soup, and t...

Used to come to this restaurant when it was called Yo Sushi. It looks like it has changed owners. Decor hasn't changed from when it was the previous restaurant. In fact, I probably wouldn't have come here had I known it had changed hands, but since we were already seated before I realized I decided to give them a whirl.<br/ <br/ This place offers exceptional value! We ordered a couple of rolls and an order of assorted sashimi. My goodness, were the slices ever thick! The rolls were generously portioned and we were delightfully surprised about how large they were.<br/ <br/ Service was appropriate and to my expectation. With all the Japanese restaurants on Hastings, Tentatsu definitely sets th...

Ahh, another Japanese restaurant at a very ill fated location. Tentatsu is located next to Anton’s, and pretty much every restaurant here lasts about a year (if they’re lucky) before going under. Tentatsu pretty much took over the Sushi Giwa space. Everything looks exactly the same as it was when it was Sushi Giwa, except now it’s run by Chinese people instead of Korean people.

It was my first time coming to this location. The service is quiet slow even though there weren't very many people in the restaurant. I also found the rice pretty mushy and the taste was odd. However, for 6 people, it was under $50. I think the price really reflects the quality of this place.
