The restaurant has a modest front and a cozy dining area. The staff is fantastic, and my dinner was excellent. I opted for the Blue Plate Special since I didn’t have much time to wait for the Pierogis. I was informed that the Pierogis, as well as the Sauerkraut rolls, are made by Pierogis by Cleveland. The Kielbasa had a bit more salt than I would prefer, but that seems to be common. The beans and apples were also very tasty. It appears to be a favorite among locals, as the parking lot was quite full when I arrived around 7:30-8 on a Tuesday night. I would definitely go back.
What a funny place. The woman and I were in the area looking for some delay on a Monday night and came over Teschners. It wasn't crowded and we had our selection of tables. Apparently, one or more employees had called up sick and there was a person who made the bartender, waiting and cooking. She was a great juggler because she made a few great sandwiches, generous cocktails and took a few extra minutes to entertain us. The menu was standard pub fare, but seemed fresh and tasty. The place had a great neighborhood feeling and we would stop again when in the area.
Found on google while looking for a good fish fry. Was not disappointed. Small family owned business where the staff couldn't of been friendlier. The grilled shrimp appetizer and fried pickle spears...delicious. 3 entrees, cod, perch and salmon, all cooked perfectly. The desserts were delicious, chocolate cake and apple pie pierogies. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. 5 stars!!!
Absolutely perfect! This restaurant is a must-visit! From the moment we arrived, the staff was attentive without being intrusive. The drinks were fantastic and reasonably priced. All the entrees were delicious; we shared everything and unanimously agreed on how amazing each dish was. My granddaughter especially loved her potatoes. You'll have a wonderful experience here! The burgers are packed with flavor, and the flatbread sandwiches are a delight. Dining outdoors is a great option, as the bar is equipped with plexiglass dividers, and the staff wears masks for safety. They have all the precautions in place. If you're looking for some fun while sipping a drink, there's also a nice pool table available.
This place is truly a gem. Food and service is excellent. So far I've had the O tang chicken sandwich, wings and a steak. All of these exceeded expectations and would order all of them again. They seem to be known for burgers, wings and Steaks though and the burgers are enormous and look amazing. This is becoming a regular stop for me.
I wish I lived close to this Tavern. Stopped here because of the reviews and wasn't disappointed. My burger was huge and the sweet potato fries were nice and crispy. Wings were great and they have many sauces to pick from. Our waitress was great even though she was swamped. Fun place.
