I've been getting into the thai gardens since the opening. I have always loved this restaurant and it was one of my top rated thais I have been. with a group of friends this week I was greatly disappointed by the quality. the food. the staff was as beautiful as ever, but eating was a real good one. the starters were great as always, but the netzen really let it. I ordered the Thai green curry that seemed watery as if they had left the cocos milk. there was no real taste for the dish and the chicken was dry and chewy and they had added what seemed to be cauliflower to the dish that was unusual for a Thai curry and not added to the taste. really disappointed and will not choose to come back. w...
We are very frequent visitors to Thai Garden and Sao Gabriel and always enjoy delicious food, wine, ambience and great service. This visit to Thai Garden was spoiled by another diner, sitting two tables away from us, smoking a large and very smelly cigar from...the minute we arrived at 20.00 until he left at around 21.30. I appreciate we were all sitting outside but surely there must be a rule for smoking, and especially large cigars, whilst fellow diners are trying to enjoy their food? Sao Gabriel has a separate smoking area to the outside restaurant and I think Thai Garden should enforce this as well.
This was a disappointment, we felt food was like something you could buy from the supermarket rather than being home cooked. The food was small portions and we felt expensive for what there was. Homemade chilli sauce lacked chilli and felt could have been better...tasting. We had mixed starter which consisted of small spring roll. satay chicken and small filo prawn, we felt could have had more items added for the price being charged. Mains were a little better but would not say authentic thai flavours. Disappointing but lovely looking restaurant.
The place is very nice and I thought the food was going to be amazing. It’s not. It’s good but not more than that. The staff is kind and the overall experience was good enough. Prices are ok except for the Soup, we paid 15,90...expecting a soup to share but no, it was a single portion for one that cost as much as a full soup. The other prices are ok. Decor is very nice. we were looking for the restaurants são gabriel thai garden, eating was roughly overpriced and of very average quality. there was a limited selection menu, the personal was not hospitable. the bill was approx. 70 euro (with only a small amount...wine per person not expensive would I go back no would recommend a friend no
we enjoyed delicious sweet spring rolls, followed by green thai chicken curry, wein and prosecco. very nice staff! would highly recommend this restaurant. we were here years ago and eating is all so good in 2019/2020. a great little place to eat authentic Chinese, Thai, Japanese or Korean (and more)
