Thai Smile Cuisine

I booked a group of 16 people for lunch at Thai Smile, before we visited a local Buddhist Temple nearby. Oh what fun we had! I had met up a few weeks before with a lovely gentleman that I thought was the owner but I think now he was the manager. (I am still not sure...lol) We discussed the menu he was going to prepare for us. It all sounded delicious. As we would be pushed for time on the day, I went back the day before our visit and paid for the meals ahead of time. As soon as we came in, we were seated at one long table, specially arranged for us. The food came out in big bowls and each bowl was placed between 4 people. The staff came out with so many courses of wonderful different foods ....

We enjoy Thai food and had been told that this was a great restaurant. The parking lot is small and that could be an issue at a busy time. We were greeted at the door and were promptly escorted to our table. We noted that several tables had "Reserved" signs on them and there were several other patrons in the restaurant indicating a local level of popularity. We were seated on what appeared to be folding chairs. I was facing a large shelving unit that had all the dishes, cutlery and supplies in plain view in the main part of the restaurant. Our food arrived in good time and was fine but I doubt we will return again as there are several other good Thai food places in Parksville.

We had never heard of this place before but it was listed on Google as one of the places near us when we were visiting Vancouver Island. We are used to a Thai place close to us, called Smile Thai, in Maple Ridge. It had a similar name and great reviews, so we wanted to try it.We walked in, were greeted by a pleasant gentleman and as we were being seated I asked if he knew about the restaurant with a similar name. He smiled and said that he did and told us to say hello to their owner. (Small world!)The food was delectable, and really made us question why we didn't indulge in Thai food more often. It was a wonderful experience of fabulous food and service. Highly recommended!

Wow, wenn man in Kanada Sehnsucht nach "healthy Food" oder original Thaifood hat dann MUSS man hierher! Zufällig fuhren wir den Pacific Rim Richtung Tofino und ebenso zufällig entdecken wir dieses Restaurant an der Straße. Trotz dessen das der Hunger nicht so groß war wendete ich umgehend und mein Bauch hat im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes richtig entschieden! 5 vor 3 ergatterten wir noch die Lunchzeit! Dieses Essen ist ein Abstecher wert, ebenso die Route Richtung Tofino! Frisch, gesund und mit Liebe gekocht... selbst die klare Brühe mit Gemüse war ein Gedicht. Und zum Hauptgericht gab es on Top noch eine Minifrühlingsrolle, selbstverständlich frisch! Reserva una mesa ahora

Absolutely amazing. Smaller menu but so good. My son asked for lots of heat in his curry dish and the chef may have taken that as a personal challenge because my son's meal was definitely hot and tasty. Mine was without much heat which I had asked for and the food was excellent. Ask for the lettuce wraps as an appetizer. Also delish.... My son lives in Vancouver and travels a lot and he said this was some of the best Thai food he has had. Seems like a great spot for me to go back and learn more about Thai food. They also offer cooking classes.

We recently had a very pleasant lunch for three at Thai Smile. We were served by the owner. The atmosphere is very nice, especially the tables overlooking the small garden. There is always a steady lunch crowd. We enjoyed green curry prawns, pad Thai with prawns, and a dish created by the owner - not on the menu - garlic prawns. All the dishes were very tasty. We will definitely return to Thai Smile.

Don't let the outside fool you, amazing food and staff, it's so good I really don't want to share it with you, it is sometimes so busy that you may need to be patient, it is worth the wait, if you are rude and demanding please keep going it irritates me watching rude people abuse the kind people who operate this business, the owner Art will make you feel very welcome

I drive by this place so regularly and finally decided to stop in to try it out with my hubby. We got a few different dishes to share and it was all delicious. The service was great - we don't know why we never came here sooner! Reserva una mesa ahora

This restaurant is a hole in the wall gem that you must visit if you are in that area. I promise You wont be disappointed if you appreciate quality real Thai food.

Try the sweet and sour chicken or the yellow coconut curry.. service is fast and food is great Very well located on the highway.. staff are courteous and pleasant.
