We used to live around Frithsden over 10 years ago and this was our favourite pub. We recently visited for my wife's birthday and were not disappointed. The ambiance, friendliness and quality of the food haven't changed and that's a very good thing. There's a focused menu which must make it easier to ensure quality. My only criticism is that first choice of dish was not quite ready yet so I had to choose an alternative. Disappointing that the chef hadn't quite got things ready for the start of lunch service, but the fall back choice was still excellent. great pub with fantastic food. very happy that this is before my doorstep. it is a first-class pub, with good beating and crying and a beautiful local feeling. what is very good in the did, then they go and do fantastic eating! all of speck on a blase and squeak cake to a pan roasted sea roasted. the same couple (salisbury pubs) has four more pubs in the chilterns swan, denham; royal oak, bovingdon green, marlow; the old queens head, penn; and recently on black horse, fulmer.

I absolutely adore the atmosphere of this restaurant and was thrilled to bring a friend who is new to the area. I keep up with their various menus on social media and am aware that the chef utilizes seasonal produce. Unfortunately, the service was slow and inefficient, and there were limited options for vegetarians. However, the food itself was heavenly. The portions are also perfect for those looking to maintain a healthy waistline.

Been coming here for around 20 years and it's always had fab food, drinks, a great atmosphere whatever the season and friendly staff. Menu changes regularly my usual go to is the bubble and squeak which is divine, but everything including this salmon are great. If you are in the area, do go there. Reserva una mesa ahora

beautiful pub next to a weinberg. great food, my lamb was beautiful! my buddy loved her escape. one of the best pubs for eating I had. great service with a smile and a friendly local amount. only on the bottom was a couple with a full house:

eating is always interesting, local, if possible, delicious and served by nice people in a relaxed atmosphere. pricey? maybe, but good value. keep them a good bitter and interesting wine list

Lovely cozy atmosphere and very nice food. The perfect pub to start or end a nice walk in the Chilterns
