The Almanett Bistro

The owner and staff were fantastic, and the place has a great vibe with stylish decor. The accommodations were very pleasant as well. While I could tolerate the loud bands that played until 10 PM, I couldn't overlook the serious issue of having all the rooms keyed alike. This means that anyone staying there or who has a copied key can easily access your room, even when you are present. This is a significant security concern and an easy fix, so I can't understand why it hasn't been addressed. Because of this reason alone, I won't be staying here again. Overall, I would rate the rooms a 4.

Food and Drinks: The Lava Lounge is an outstanding venue to check out. Their fried green tomatoes are truly unparalleled. Be sure to visit on the third Saturday of each month for poetry night—it's always a wonderful experience. Overall Ratings: Rooms: 5 | Service: 5 | Location: 5

We ordered two dishes, and it was quite pricey at $52. Sadly, the gumbo was terrible; it was so salty that it was inedible. The portion sizes were also quite small. However, I must say the service and location were excellent, both rated a 5.

The atmosphere here is very pleasant and tranquil. The live music is fantastic! Overall, I would rate the rooms 4 out of 5, the service 4 out of 5, and the location 4 out of 5.
