The positives, lovely venue, happy staff and availability to book at short notice. On the flip side, we waited 25 minutes for food after being seated for our tea and the very polite waiter told me there would be other flavours of sandwiches on the stand after I told him I don't like salmon. When it arrived my mum ate the salmon sandwiches and I ate the cheese. No exception to my request! The scones were hands down amazing! The chef's cakes were average and we left them after tasting them, I looked at the other tables and they'd done the same. Overall, a special venue but feels too big for the amount of customers that were actually in on the day it felt empty with not much atmosphere.
We went for the fish chip supper and were very pleased, it was cooked to perfection with a lovely light crispy batter. Everything was really good and we will definitely be coming back with family and friends. The service was perfect and it was nice and quiet. We enjoyed it very much. Thanks to the staff the chief.
our first visit, but not our last! beautiful bright room excellent service from staff. we went to lunch that was excellent and a glass fizz for my man whose birthday it was a nice note. only suggestion of me when I was pushed, a few more choices on the lunch menu.
beautiful place for Sunday dinner. delicious bratbeef and juicy pork eat in a beautiful environment. our guests were very impressed. we look forward to a soon return.

beautiful Sunday dinner was the monk excellent, very pleasant dining room. relaxing and comfortable eating. only service 4,* as they forgot my tee!
Took my mum for afternoon tea for her birthday. Staff were lovely, really exceptional service. Delicious food and fantastic value for money.
Service was lovely as usual , food was delicious, 4 of us Had 3 courses and we all loved our food , great choice on the wine list as well
