The coffee shop employees were very helpful and kind seating is a bit tight. There is a side room as well with additional tables in the main room has a field large tables. Parking is pretty plentiful either across the front of the building where there is angled parking or along the streets and back or at the big parking lot that is shared with many other businesses. The Anchor Coffee House in downtown White Bear Lake is a delightful find. From the moment I stepped inside, the rich aroma of coffee filled the air, signaling the use of high-quality beans and promising a great taste. I decided to try the White Bear Latte, which was excellent. Normally, I add one or two packs of brown sugar to sweeten my coffee, but they offered sugar cane syrup instead. I gave it a try, and it was absolutely worth it. The latte was already delicious, and the sugar cane syrup perfectly enhanced its flavor.

I've been visiting Anchor for years and have always loved the atmosphere, the coffee, and most of the staff members—they're truly fantastic. However, I've noticed that some employees insist on serving drinks in to-go cups within three hours of closing time just to avoid washing dishes. I can understand if it's just an hour before closing, but anything sooner than that feels unnecessarily harmful to the environment and really dampens the overall vibe.
The Anchor Coffee House is a charming café offering plenty of large tables along with a cozy side room filled with smaller ones. When I visited, there were many small groups of two or three people, creating a lively and energetic ambiance. If you’re after a quiet place, this may not be ideal, but I appreciated the vibrant atmosphere. The espresso drinks are expertly crafted and excellent—especially the white bear mocha, which I really enjoyed.

I absolutely love The Anchor Coffee House! I visit regularly to work because they serve amazing specialty coffee. I even spotted them at the state fair! They offer both indoor and outdoor seating options.
