Always enjoy our visits to this excellent pub with it's outdoor seating area right on the banks of the River Severn. The food is great value, presentable and good quality, the service is efficient and a decent range of ales drinks is available. There is the bar drinking area on one level with TV screen for sports etc., whilst the upper bar and dining lounge offers views over the lawned frontage, with sunsets to enjoy when weather permits. Good sized car park, covered outdoor seating area and some quality signed cricket memorabilia framed artwork on the dining area walls. Great pub this is!
The food option was limited to basket meals only. We have eaten basket meals at other pubs previously, chips, salad and chicken, or other options. We ordered one chicken and one vegan finger option. We received one basket of chips and some chicken strips and one basket of vegan fingers. Not a lettuce leaf tomato slice, cucumber piece, or any else in sight. The chips, chicken, and vegan fingers were of low quality, bland in appearance, and without taste. We will not eat there again and would not recommend the pub as a riverside option for lunch or evening meal.
We wanted to see the Severn Bore and as The Anchor Inn is right next to the river we booked a table for food. Fast service, good food. Stood by wall now waiting, good times.
Small pub serving food. Large beer garden which overlooks a great view of the river Severn. Visited on a hot Friday afternoon and wasn't too busy. Felt quite peaceful.

Good food, good service will be coming back. Have had many visits to The Anchor Inn now. Excellent food, service and a good atmosphere. Hope to have many more visits.
a good country pub in a beautiful location, directly at the o'clock of the severn. good selection of drinks and good eating to decent trips. friendly staff. only.
this is a tasty pub in the summer months. it is very busy, though so warned and it is kept at the distances of the river seven so eltern.
Lovely location by the river Severn, had lunch, childrens menu good, dog friendly in bar. Will visit again.

Large selection of beers...food was fantastic. And the views from the beer garden spectacular
Canal bridge was shut a mile away ....Great pub was a great diversion
