The Apple Tree Inn

I visited the restaurant today and had a terrible experience. We placed a simple order for two senior set meals, which included two soups, roast lamb as the main, and steak and kidney pudding as the other main. After waiting for forty minutes, our mains arrived first. We informed the waiter that we had not received our soups, but instead of apologizing, he took our mains away. The manager, who had taken our order, admitted that he had forgotten to order our soups and apologized. I expressed my hope that our mains would be fresh when they arrived, but unfortunately, they were replated, kept warm, and served with fresh gravy. The steak and kidney pudding was like hard pastry. We are disappointed to learn that this restaurant has permanently closed. We really enjoyed dining here but unfortunately, it is now closed for good. However, you can still view the outside of the restaurant on Google Street View.
