The Ash Pub - Reserva de mesa

visited jun2021 after a 10 miles walk. looked outside in the evening sun, gently sung by the sounds of stansted airport to convince the world that it was busy. this is a greene king pub, so that the quality is controlled, they know what they are. and safe, we got a friendly reception, good service, well maintained beer and good, middle-of-the-road-pub-rub. the pub is excavated for families. in these slightly fake lockdown times the pub has a large marquee for protected outdoor kitchen, filled with dozens of standard benches. there are also tables and chairs on a veranda for those of a middle class convince. menu is comprehensive. the prices are typical of greene king in the eastern englands....

We stayed here overnight before our flight at Stansted the next morning. Reasonable price for airport parking for a week and over night stay at only £79. Parking is located to the side of the pub and hotel was situated across the road in a converted barn. Rooms were tidy and clean. Hot water took a very very long time to come through due to the water tank being so far from the rooms. Comfortable stay. Will return.

the best steak and ale pier you will find everywhere in the land (winners for people who don't like much baked as it made in a bigger dish! so good I had it two nights in order! pictures to prove it. hand in shot / size for scaling! chips are perfect crispy vs soft. thanks to paul as a great host. 2 screens for footy large mattresses in barn hotel. denver. love love loves this place. the chef is absolutely brilliant with crazy generous portions, had no bad meal here. the old adage that English eating is terrible does not apply to the ash. the personal is a joy and many great memories of the second world war. highly recommended! A quiet, spacious country pub, there was a small play area that kept the children entertained. Th food was fine though mine was a little tepid when it arrived. There was a very bad wasp infestation and one of my company did get stung. Good family day out had by all.

Great food very friendly staff Took my family and parents in law for a traditional pub meal rather than the airport hotel. So glad we did. The food once again was good and the lady serving us was brilliant. Will be back again soon I’m sure. Many thanks.

nicely lined pub to lunch, the fish and chips fresh and delicious, the steak pee was a joy that was crumbed in delicious gravy the staff was attentive and we enjoyed our lunch, unfortunately no room a pudding and she sounded delicious thanks.

Stayed for one-night before going to the Airport. Comfortable and basic amenities in the room. The pub was lovely, lots of choice however, quite expensive. Staff very pleasant and check in and out was easy. Reserva una mesa ahora

Lovely food, service really good, setting great. The only thing I was didn't like was the dirty toilets, apparently in the Men's the toilet seat was...

Lovely friendly place with nice staff and regulars alike. Dog friendly, good food and a great pint of Guinness. I highly recommend this place.
