Skew Restaurant Grill Bar

Booked for 7pm on 3/11. On entering the restaurant we were not greeted by anyone and there did not appear to be a designated front of house staff. When someone did appear there was no welcome simply ‘what name is the reservation?’ I thought this was rude and unwelcoming. After being seated and browsing the menu we had to call over a waiter to take the drinks and food order rather than the waiters being proactive. Although the main waiter for our section did come and apologise for this and introduce himself the service did not get any better and was slow and not to the standard I would expect. Wow, what a wonderful experience we had- can’t wait to come back! The restaurant is beautiful, the tables are not too close together like some places. The service was attentive, friendly and professional. The food was exceptional- the oysters were some of the best I have had and they were huge. Sushi has recently been added to the menu and it is great quality, I hope it stays. The octopus was cooked so perfectly, again it was one of the best I have eaten. Baklava was incredible too. We can’t wait to return.

We celebrated our anniversary at Skew. Drinks and food amazing and the service was excellent. We felt looked after and very special. Definitely recommend Skew! I recently enjoyed a fabulous lunch at this restaurant. The price per person was between £30-40. I give the food and service a perfect 5-star rating.
