Service and views are among the best on Maui! Try your reservation at sunset. It is a pine with panoramic views. You only make a 3-course-prix fixe menu, but you can order an extra app, Entree or Dessert and increase your fixed price. I must say we were underwhelmed by our apps (pork ribs and saffron risotto), but they were beautifully plated. Ribs were overcooked and Risotto was undercooked and we had to ask for salt to finish it. For our entrees we got lamb and American Wagyu Ribeye, who (and tasted) looked much more like a Kansas City Strip. And it was pretty hard. The Lamb was the winner of the night! It was incredibly delicate and there were two huge shafts in the bowl. We ordered an additional entree that was the scallops, and they were perfectly cooked and had a nice sauce. We both have tarts for dessert. One was chocolate mac nuts and the other Calamansi with fruit above. Both had the most delicious crusts and overall, they were a party in our mouth! So things started a little rough, but ended up with a bang. And although we didn't love everything, we agreed that we would come back to STILL. It's just a nice way to spend your evening.
Great experience and ambience! My husband got the 3 course with pork ribs (high recommendation), lamb and calcareous tea. I was not so hungry and only got a la carte saffron risotto and tiramisu. My favorite was definitely the pork ribs, and lambry had a ton of meat to share! We were both very full. We sat on the balcony and watched the sunset that was a big plus, as we booked the reservation only with 2 days.
The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent, our waitress Lilly was so friendly and accommodating. The reason I give it 3 stars though is because the food was not at all worth the price. It was unfortunately quite disappointing. The new york strip steak was very chewy and sinewy, and the sauce in the fettuccine was kinda slimy. Although the desserts were delicious.
