My main issue was with the food. I ordered a steak, which came with only one dry mushroom. I had requested it to be cooked medium to well done, but it arrived quite rubbery and more on the rare side. I didn't realize this until I was halfway through. The steak lacked seasoning, and I ended up using all of my ketchup to add flavor. While the fries that came with my meal were delicious and well-seasoned, the side salad was refreshing.
My husband ordered the surf and turf, and I was informed that it too lacked seasoning—both the steak and the lobster were quite bland. On the positive side, the sangria was excellent; I enjoyed an entire pitcher of it.

Stuffed lobster and crab legs.The stuffed lobster did have some scallops, but also shrimp that so obviously came from a tin, in the stuffing.The crab legs were freezer burnt with a terrible taste. Rice pilaf was pretty bland so I passed on eating my salad. Especially after seeing a roach on the table across from me. When the busboy saw it, he smacked it to half dead, left it on the table until the table cloth was cleared by the second busboy.Besides that- the nit picking stuff: dirty dishes were not cleared from the table, water was never topped off, and very nit picky.....
I hope someone sees this soon. This place needs some TLC. It has such potential in the location it’s at but the smell, the old carpet and wall color need to be revamped. It also needs a social media presence. In 2024, if you don’t have social media it’s a red flag. People will go to instagram before they go to Google for reviews. Make a page, get something new on the menu, steam clean the carpet and get some fresh paint on those walls and you’ll see the review stars go up! This place is old, tired and lacks anything modern. They advertise that this restaurant has been around since 1925, but it might be time to close its doors. The food is awful, and the portion sizes are laughable for the price. I regret not taking photos before I ate, but I ordered the Broiled Jumbo Shrimp for $24.95. What a disappointment! I received five shrimp that were really only medium-sized at best, along with a tiny potato and an unappealing salad. The only thing that had any flavor was the potato, and that was simply due to the sour cream. The staff was quite rude, and the view isn’t worth mentioning anymore. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

I just wanted to share that my dinner at the Barge was outstanding, as always. The staff is extremely friendly, and the food was cooked to perfection. We typically visit this restaurant twice a year, and I highly recommend the twin lobster tails. The prices are reasonable, and the ambiance is lovely. A big thank you to our waiter Ricky, who provided exceptional service and truly made our evening special!

Even though reservations were made for 14 ladies for lunch they were not prepared for us. The service was horrendous. The food was slow to come out. Meals didn't come out complete let alone together or to the correct person. We needed to ask for things several times before getting them. Our busboy was much more attentive than our waiter. It wouldn't have killed him to smile.
I have been visiting this barge for over 40 years, and in the last two years, I’ve encountered three issues with their coupons, which I found to be misleading or incorrect. I recommend that they consult a lawyer to review the language used in their coupons before printing them. It’s puzzling that they seem to prefer this misleading approach.

Owner was nice came in at closing and still Got to eat dinner. Food was great. Staff was super friendly. Can’t wait to bring my wife back.
Scallops appeared to be frozen then cooked. Asked to sit outside and the waiter replied outside is only open on the weekends.
