Having had two meals recently at this location, we were looking forward to the same level of satisfaction. Initially all was fine ordering drinks and the salad bar met the past high standards, but our area became quite busy. There were families with young children that got louder and louder. The waitress spent some time seeing to their needs such that other tables had to wait. When the food arrived it seemed quite dry my meal being a repeat of my first visit it just didn't taste so good) with black overcooked mushrooms. The chicken with both my wife and my meals was slightly burnt. I actually said it tasted more like a hungry horse meal. Finally we had to wait over 20 minutes to pay our bill...
Came in for a quick bite to eat. Table for 1. Darlene was my server and how efficient was she!? She walked to greet me at the door as I walk into the lobby. She got my drink by the time I was ready to order, and got me back to work within my lunch break! I will definitely be back! She wasn’t just great with me, she was just all round amazing, being on my own allowed me to admire Darlene’s work on the restaurant floor. She was so kind and knowledgeable advising all of her guests no one ever needed anything as she was continuously checking they always had everything. Thank you again Darlene team for a very enjoyable lunch!
We decided to only have a salad this time so we could save room for dessert, which we're usually too full for. It was a fantastic decision. The service was quick and courteous, the restaurant was clean and tidy, and there was a pleasant ambience. We were surprised by how busy it was on a Monday lunchtime, so we were happy we made a reservation. No need to say more - it was a great experience!
Starter burnt, waited ages for replacement....father ate alone. Main I specifically asked for no sauce in wrap allergies) came with sauce....sent back. Fathers chicken breast solid and black. Father was made to keep dish whilst recooked chicken. I again ate alone.... :

The breakfast menu has changed, there was no option for continental breakfast, no self service at all, not even for drinks. Disappointing, we always used to love coming as a family for the breakfasts, but we will be going elsewhere in future.
The service at the restaurant was good, however, the food took an excessive amount of time to arrive. With 4 young children in the group, waiting for 45 minutes was too long and challenging for them.
We had a fantastic meal with excellent service from our waiter at The Barn. This is not the first time we have dined here and it never fails to impress. Thank you.
Great stop off point for us travelling south. Had breakfast, such a big choice, fast service delicious food and lovely friendly staff.

My jacket potato was an old one, the skin was well burnt and too hard to cut. Waiter was slow and too deliberate.
