In my quest for a drink, I asked to sample their red blend, but was told no unless there was already an open bottle. Really? Of course, there wasn't, and that was the only red blend they had. That’s strike two. When I asked if the bar used Rose's lime juice, I was told yes, so I ordered a vodka gimlet on the rocks. It arrived at our table with olives in it (a proper gimlet should only include vodka and Rose's lime juice). When I tried to send it back, the waiter insisted that he had seen the bartender pour in the lime juice. No, he didn’t—it was straight vodka. Strike three. The restaurant boasts a lively, contemporary ambiance and a welcoming staff, with ample parking available. The drinks are truly exceptional! We were lucky to have made a reservation, as the place was quite busy. You have the option to dine indoors or sit at the bar. The menu is simple, just one page featuring both food and drink offerings. Every cocktail we sampled was expertly crafted. While the food was also delightful, I would definitely return mainly for the drinks. The staff was friendly and very helpful in navigating the menu. We ordered the whole chicken, salmon, stuffed mushrooms, and crab cakes, and each dish was bursting with flavor.
The Amish chicken is marinated overnight and then roasted upright, served whole with roasted potatoes and carrots. It’s both delicious and very reasonably priced for two. While my husband is a huge fan of lamb, I really enjoyed the chicken and had plenty left over for the next day. If you’re new to whiskey, I recommend trying a whiskey flight—I tasted the chocolate, chocolate mint, and caramel flavors, and I loved them all. By the way, the lamb is fantastic too! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the ambiance strikes a great balance between upscale and casual. Dining outside was a wonderful experience.
What a fantastic and elegant dining experience! Our server, Oscar, was extremely attentive and provided excellent recommendations for both drinks and dishes. We sampled the lobster roll, the aioli avocado chicken sandwich, and the chicken and waffles (you can also ask for the hot sauce on the side). We ended up buying three bottles of the Apple Pie moonshine! We had never encountered it until today, but we found it absolutely delicious and too tempting to resist. The salmon was outstanding! I give it a perfect 10 out of 10! The charbroiled oysters were also fantastic—another 10 out of 10! The Forbidden Fruit cocktail was delicious as well, earning another 10 out of 10. My friends sampled the short rib, burger, and pasta; they raved about the short rib and burger, but didn't think much of the pasta. I would definitely return. The service was exceptional, the food was incredible, the drinks were delightful, and the ambiance was great!
My friends and I dined at the restaurant on Sunday to celebrate a birthday, and we had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was lovely, and because we had a reservation, we were seated immediately. Our server was very attentive and quickly brought us water and menus. The fried green tomatoes were exceptional! Each of us ordered a different dish, and we all agreed that our meals were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back soon!
