This is a very popular town centre pub with many regular users throughout the day so having to bare this in mind my daughter and I went for breakfast she 's pregnant and the baby needed a 'Spoons ' breakfast!! Ha We made our way to the upper eating area, used the app to order our food and were met by wonderful, friendly and polite servers when it arrived. beautiful pub at the top of the city . close to bull green palring 2 hours stay . wetherpsoons menu eating is decently expensive, but can sometimes hit a bit and miss. service for eating over busy period can also be vey slow. great selection of drinks world beer and spirituous the series of kajaks and pictures on offer to help start the night. when the city is busy, sometimes impossibe can get a drink inherited

No surprises here as it is a Wetherspoons so it does what it says on the box! However this is a friendly well run example. There are 12 hand pumps serving good quality ale at sensible prices. They also include beer from local brewers as well as the cheap national brands, so a good choice for everyone. Excellent location and a choice of the large 'drinking hall ' or quieter balcony area if you like more privacy.

I think this is the better of the two Halifax Spoons. Lovely interior with an upper level balcony seating area. Another opportunity to claim my 50p discount with CAMRA tokens thus making the low Spoons price even lower. We ended up staying the rest of the evening as I sampled a selection of the beers. Tod's blond by Little Valley was on fine form. Avoided the bland Doom Bar.

What a wonderful welcome the staff gave the Korean veterans after their special service in Halifax Minster. The place was packed, but the service was excellent. Credit to the staff for smiling through, when they were obviously rushed off their feet. The Dukes had a fabulous party!
