I stopped in for breakfast on my own. The food was ok, nothing particularly good, but vfm. The service and ambience was very poor though. The cafe was very cold (most customers kept their overcoats on) and less than half full. Nevertheless, I waited a surprisingly long time to even give my order, waited a bit longer than normal for it to come, and when it came it wasn't quite what I ordered. I wasn't going to send it back and wait even longer though! What was most surprising was that, while I was sitting there, four customers turned up. We decided to try out this restaurant for breakfast on a Sunday after reading good reviews, and I was not disappointed. The food was delicious, not too greasy and cooked perfectly. I was impressed by the crispy hash browns that were just right. I ordered the mega breakfast, which came with a choice of toast, and also had black pudding along with a pot of tea. It was all very tasty and filling. The staff were friendly and welcoming, with a hint of old-fashioned charm in their impeccable manners and respect for customers. This cafe is truly special and a delightful experience. The prices are also very reasonable compared to other places. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this...

We decided to visit the Bay Tree Cafe. It was 1:45 and we both thought it closed at 2:30, but it actually closes at 2pm. We were told it was still okay to order. We both had a gammon steak with chips, eggs, and peas. It was delicious and arrived quickly. We both really enjoyed it and thought it was great value for the money. The atmosphere was friendly and cosy. We will definitely visit again.

We were very lucky to find The Bay Tree Cafe. It was exactly what we were looking for. We had such a friendly kind welcome, when we arrived. I noticed that everyone in there was treated the same way. We were made to feel at home. The brunch we had was proper comfort food and a pot of tea. It was very, reasonably priced. If we didn't live so far away, we would definitely, go there more often. Lovely food as always. Friendly staff. Polite as always, highly reccomened if your looking for a cafe foe good food then look no further than the bay tree cafe. There food is lush, good quilty and value for price.

The food at this restaurant is top-notch, with exceptional service to match. It's definitely the best cafe in Torquay, hands down! I always go for the Mega Breakfast - it never disappoints.

The owner was friendly and took the time to explain how all the produce used was locally sourced. I had a fantastic omelette, fresh and tasty. Thanks for breakfast.
