Lovely cosy and friendly pub. Wandered in with the dog to escape the rain. Played some board games to keep the kids entertained for an hour or so before ordering. Food was good, apparently the burger was fantastic. They could have a few more veggie options and the steak was OK (what I'd expect for the price). However overall good reasonable pub grub. The staff were welcoming and even bought the dog treats and water. Although, we sat inside, they do have a large covered and heated patio out the back, so sitting outside wouldn't have been an issue despite the weather.

This restaurant is a charming spot with a great location. The staff is very friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. They even have their own parking lot. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone reading this review. I would give it a perfect score of 10/10. The price per person is £100+. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a score of 5. I recommend trying the Roast Chicken or The Bear Burger.

Our Scout Group Trustee Board meet regularly at the Bear, 4 times a year and once again we were very well looked after , the drinks snacks and service were all excellent and the atmosphere caring and friendly , very important for a long meeting after busy day's work ... Well done The Bear and hope to be back soon at our pub of choice . Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We reserved a space for a large group the day after our wedding. The area was spacious, the staff were friendly, and the food was delicious! We even got to enjoy the beautiful garden thanks to the nice weather. Overall, we highly recommend The Bear Burger for its 5-star food, service, and atmosphere. I believe there is a new owner at this restaurant and the food was incredibly tasty. I tried the steak sandwich and it was delicious. The drinks were also reasonably priced for being so close to London. I will definitely be returning. The restaurant has a lovely garden both in the front and back. The average price per person ranges from £20 to £30.

Not been in here for years and suddenly realised the same manager as the penny black…….well standards follow. Mouthwatering food, atmosphere you don’t want to leave and service that makes u smile for days
