A lovely pub in the centre of Penarth, complete with one hundred tables and two floors. As for what The Bears head offers they provide a wide variety of drinks and food, with one exception... No pizza! The Lack of the notorious cheesy tomato baked flat bread and bad lighting in booths one are my only qualms with the franchise. Other than that the staff are fairly polite and keep the establishment clean and tidy, whilst bringing beverages and food at a reasonably quick pase. Overall a great place to meet up with friends (as long as they are not craving pizza) and enjoy an refreshing pint! Four out of Five stars... Chris P Bacon
hi. I came from fishponds in bristol. yesterday evening traveled to visit my friend for the first time. she lives in town. penarth. it was a perfect setting for a first date. the staff especially susan was helpful and made us welcome. the personal was great. political and helpful. we had a bite to eat. nibbles. great value .3 courts for under a tenner. the pub was clean and very tidy and warm. thanks for their hospitality. I hope to see them soon in the near future. thank you tony hi.
Great little Spoons, friendly staff and good vibe to the place. My only gripe with the place and reason for writing this is that I wish staff would clear tables quicker, and pick litter off the floor. Last 3 times we’ve been in we’ve had to clear our own table and get cloth to wipe it down. As I say it’s a great place and great staff just needs some attention to what people see when they first walk in.
Popped in for an early morning breakfast (8.30) as I( was passing, good call. I wasn't the only customer at that time. Had the large breakfast which was as I expected. Clean environment, would definitely frequent next time I'm passing.

Friendly, clean public house. Limited parking outside, so best arrive on foot. Quick service with great food.
