The Beck and Call - Reserva de mesa

Old high school friend and his wife visited us here in the County from Mississauga. We decided to take them to a restaurant that. had excellent food and at a reasonable price. Being they were here on Sunday then the only place to go was The Beck and Call in Picton. Being they go to many nice restaurants in their area of Mississauga they were most impressed with the buffet. They found the salad selection and quality exceptional, the main course as good as any, but the deserts were to die for. My wife and I were so glad we chose this restaurant, as our friends were most impressed.

Swallow your "foodie" attitude and "we dine late" motto. Go early on a Sunday evening for the best value anywhere. The Sunday we chose, the special $20 all included dinner was a very acceptable roast beef and Yorkshire pudding feast. Excellent salad and dessert selection, pleasant service and homey atmosphere made it a very pleasant evening. A limited selection of wine and beer is available for a modest extra charge, Take cash, credit cards are not accepted for this old-fashioned meal.

The food was what you would expect from a cafe or cafeteria. The steak dinner was $25 which consisted of a pan fry steak, frozen potatoes, frozen vegetables and canned mushrooms. My friend had the small fish and chips which was actually a frozen, flat breaded piece of fish and some over cooked fries. I probably should have guessed that it wasn't the best place in town based on the fact that we were the only patrons at 6:30pm on a Saturday evening.

I had the pork burger, soup, coffee lunch special, $10 I cannot stress enough what good value for money the meal was. It was our first visit to the Beck and Call and all four of us agreed we will revisit. We will try the evening menu next time and if it is as good as lunchtime, the Beck and Call will be one of our regular stops in Picton. Reserva una mesa ahora

Unbeatable price and great food. Roast beef on the menu this week. Ham next. $20 taxes included. Chef is Scottish but I had to overlook that being from England myself. He was a pleasure to talk to very friendly. If we lived in Prince Edward county we would be there every weekend. Great food and nice surroundings.

Went this past Sunday to the buffet, the salads were fantastic, turkey, dressing 2 types of potatoes, carrots, gravy all hot and lots. The desserts were unbelievable.it included tea and coffee all for $20.00 each. The place was packed and there was still lots to eat.Great job, thanks...

Went to Beck and Call, they are truly at your beck and call.... Food was excellent!!! Staff was on the ball..... Sunday they have a buffet for $20.00 a person.

Excellent service and food.Prices reasonable.Businesses on Main Street must be having a tough time with all the roadwork.Decor is atmospheric.
