I must firstly praise the welcome, the two ladies covering the arrivals and food service were so friendly, attentive and professional we felt at home straight away. The menu is fairly simple but very well thought out so all tastes covered. There is an art to getting this right and The Bell has it spot on. Not having so many options meant the food was prompt, well cooked, hot, plentiful and very tasty. We'd only been in the pub for a drink before. A few weeks ago we popped in before a Chichester RFC rugby match. Our group was made so welcome that my partner and I decided to book a pre theatre dinner. I'm so glad we did. The food was excellent, tasty fresh and I would guess local. The service was wonderful throughout even though the dining area filled up with pre theatre guests who were all served efficiently to a specific pre-show timescale. Well done the staff of The Bell Inn. We will be back. I recommend booking as I can imagine this quality pub can become very busy.
The charming host was very accommodating when I called to let them know we were running late. We enjoyed the excellent value Friday night 'fish and chips' and one of the best affogatos I've had in a long time. The service and ambience were both very good, and we will definitely be returning.
Luncheon with 11 friends and we were all treated with great respect and friendliness. Such a loving warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Fresh, hot and beautifully cooked. Looking forward to returning again.

What a great little pub, perfectly located for pre dinner show opposite Chi Festival Theatre. Very friendly welcome, reasonably priced home cooked food can't wait for the next show so we can return for another meal (if we were local we'd be here more often).
This pub in Chichester is one of the best in the country. It is truly welcoming and lovely, with a great selection of beer and cider on tap, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Chichester is lucky to have such a wonderful pub.
Came here for fish and chip fridays. The four of us all had the fish and chips and then had desserts afterwards. 10/10 Very good value and the landlady is always lovely.
This restaurant is very convenient for a pre-theatre dinner just across the street. The staff is welcoming and friendly. I really enjoyed the pies!
