After a very windy walk my son said he was taking me for Poutine. Being a Scot with the ingrained belief that chips (fries) should only be served with malt vinager and salt I had my doubts. Being a hole in the wall place rather than a fine dining establishment I was encouraged to see the mixed bag of clients chowing down with enthusiasm. Being inexperienced with Poutine I stuck to the traditional, chips, cheese curds and gravy, my son knowing the menu inside out from his years bar-tending close by, went for a bar-b-q'd chicken combo that tasted as good as it smelled. Portions were generous and in spite of post walk hunger I could not finish mine. I suspect this place is packed when the bars...
I ordered the loaded veggie and paid. They made my friend's order and had it on the table for them before letting me know that oops... they are actually out of vegan cheese. They asked if I'd just like it without cheese and I said no that would just be a very expensive fries and vegetables and since my friend was already almost done hers, I would just have my money back. When I originally paid I had put a tip on it and the person working there gave me back my amount minus the tip and I actually had to awkwardly request that I get that back as well. Will not return to this location. Might give the Kensington location a chance.
I work around the corner and visit this poutinerie about once every couple of weeks. Love the huge selection of poutine flavours they offer and the monthly special (which cannot be found on the regular menu - a veritable "special"). They use high quality cheese curds and that makes all the difference. They recently brought in milkshakes but I don't think they are worth it personally - stick to the poutine. I continue to frequent this establishment and you should too.
I have been to this location a few times and the poutine is always excellent. The dining area is not that large and must get full during busy hours. I had order the regular size Notorious PIG and it was very filling. It had bacon sausage and I believe pulled pork. I would image maybe the larger size would be lots for 2 to share. I have been to a number of other Poutines places across the country and this is the best!

we went there because it has vegan poutine and hot dogs on the menu because I wanted one and my friend to the others. they said they no longer serve vegan hot dogs, but they are still in the menu, also in the restaurant and online. it was unclear whether they were simply from them or they all were released together. in any case the poutins were good, and then we went down to tubby dog to get the pb
Stopped here after the bars closed. Large menu, reasonably priced, and fast! The fries are well-done, the cheese is squeaky, and they don't skimp on the gravy. The small is more than sufficient for one person and the menu has enough variety to satisfy any appetite.
We went there to have some good food . However the staff is horrible and totally not ready to work with the customer . Please DO NOT GO THERE at all. Also it is dirty . We finally spend an hour in there and came out with OUT having any food !!
A great place to get some fresh, hot poutine. Many varieties but the traditional is always a good thing. Some might find it a little salty but that's the best part!

Great poutine! Huge servings! Quite the menu. Very friendly staff. The decor is a bit pub-like, which I didn't care for...no biggie. Highly recommended!
Hit the junk food spot. Vegan poutine with Daiya and mushroom gravy was good.
