Went to the Billet last night with a large group of family. As somebody who is trying to lose weight I was hoping for salad to be on the menu, but unfortunately it wasn’t. It didn’t matter though, as Kay the landlady asked the kitchen to make me a chicken and bacon salad, which they did and it was absolutely delicious. So kind of them, as they didn’t have to do that they could have just said “no, it’s not on the menu”. Everybody enjoyed their food, the service was excellent and all of the staff were really friendly and attentive. It’s reasonably priced too. We will definitely be back!
Had a meal for 4 on Sunday with friends, it was busy as the England game was pending, However, lovely atmosphere, lovely food at very reasonable prices, prompt service, landlord and landlady (I think) appeared to be working very hard throughout when we was there, very great experience and have just made x2 more bookings. Haven't been here for a little while as not had time. But have never had a bad experience, the staff are absolutely lovely. 5 times people checked in on us and all were pleasant friendly and funny. We had roast dinners and every part of it was delicious really generous portions too. Thank you
its a great place to meet up most are Friendly staff are good all got nice sun tans charlie new addition to the staff has the best sun tan,must have been on holiday drinks good food good i recommend it good for a laugh

Good pub with a nice garden, I keep coming back so they must be doing something right! Good food and drink selection, getting the Thatchers Blood Orange cider in would be perfect!
Visited for the semi-finals , food was fantastic and great value for money. Service was fast and friendly. Atmosphere throughout was perfect. Great British boozer

Very friendly service and clean and tidy welcoming place. Lovely atmosphere for a quiet drink in the afternoon as a couple, group or family.
