the black dog in oadby has been my local for a few years, but I have never checked it on trip advisor. it is a real community pub with a fantastic renter and renter in ronnie and kully and many or characters that welcome them in this very friendly pub. every day there is a good selection of beer and sport, music and jukebox and they usually have on Saturday entertainment. the main thing that comes when they visit, however, is the age class of the client, where young and old mix together with total contempt and just have fun. what a great pub!
visit them here on Saturday afternoon for drinks and eating, but was said they eat more. I wasn't when it was all the time or just lunchtime. I didn't ask how I was disappointed. the service was good. all facilities are good....Beer choice was good. beer served was good. overall satisfied, only scandalous about eating! I hope the renter will sort this (food.)
this pub is almost always empty more bar staff than customers! Some of the bar staff can be friendly, but the new bar manager found extremely rude and lack of customer service. owners never come and they always make me uncomfortable and judged. will not. total no nice community pub bring back the last owners
Popped in for a last drink after visiting Oadby, the last drink turned into about 4-5 more with dancing and singing too!!! Maybe shots as well lol Everyone was really friendly even the bouncer that asked us to leave as they were closing lol

Went to black dog yesterday with friends for a Christmas meal and night out . Food was fantastic and loads of it. Great atmosphere, lovely music and really enjoyed the night . Would recommend for a good night out , host is top notch !!
This is a fabulous pub with a fantastic atmosphere. It's rare to find a place where you can walk in and immediately feel welcome.
can never be sure if this pub closes every night not good for a visit after 10 o'clock as a rental agent often only near a laune.
The service and ambiance at this restaurant are fantastic. It's a wonderful place, owned by a legendary local landlord.

Great place to watch sports with TVs and a fantastic outdoor smoking area.
