We went to this pub for Mother’s Day and it is located in a charming village with a spacious garden area, although there was no play equipment for children and the tables were covered in bird droppings. The setting was nice and we took a walk to the river and back after our meal. The table was nicely arranged with small touches like chocolates and flowers for the ladies in our group. We rate it 3 stars because the service was slow, with inexperienced young waitresses, despite having preordered our meals. I didn't want to stop here as we were the only customers and the place didn't seem inviting. The garden wasn't cared for and a bit overgrown. We decided to give it a go and had lunch. It was awful, cheap white bread with tasteless cheese and pickle. The salad leaves were tired and brown. The only thing that saved it was the chips, which were quite nice. Wouldn't go back.
