The staff at the Blossom bird are always super helpful and accommodating, despite the fact it’s hard to judge from one day to the next how busy it will be, they go out of their way to keep people engaged I sat at weekend and watched a young member of staff juggling multiple food and drink orders, working the coffee machine as a Barista and helping to seat elderly local residents who were struggling with their walking, whilst also proactively noting and pre-empting what drinks the regulars wanted to order. Our drinks were hot and delivered promptly despite being busy. We regularly have lunch, a cake or frequent the evening tapas here, the food is always of a fabulous standard and it’s lovely...
We went to the cafe for lunch and ordered soup, a sandwich, and coffee. The coffee was good, but we were very disappointed with our food. The soup and sandwich arrived without any cutlery, and we had to wait a few minutes for them. By the time we could eat, the soup had already cooled down and was lukewarm. The bread in the sandwich was dry and not fresh, and even my choice of egg mayo did not make it any moister. We will probably only visit for coffee in the future and not for food.
Have visited several times been very pleased with the service food. However, very disappointed with our latest visit. We arrived to find one table taken, but the remaining ones were not clean. We chose the best available, sat down waited some time to be served. So, went to the counter although staff were available, waited several minutes but still no service, so we left. Staff appeared to be more interested in looking at there phone’s chatting, rather than serving there customers.
We regularly visit the Blossom Bird, as locals in the village it’s an absolute asset, even more so now they have the wonderful bistro nights The Tapas, Pizzas and desserts are delightful We also regularly call on fora coffee, cake or lunch Richard the owner makes his own pies and pastries and Nicky make some fabulous cakes We love calling in for a coffee, to catch up with the staff and mix with the locals Well done guys for having such a great place Reserva una mesa ahora
Lovely lemon drizzle cake and coffee. So much choice for a little cafe! Shame there wasn’t a bigger sitting area inside as seems popular. Hubby had a chicken and bacon hot baguette and saiid it was nice. Good selection of cakes and scones and the ice cream was popular with tourists. Nice staff friendly. Will definitely be back. We even got a cake takeaway for our Son which he devoured.
We had an amazing evening at this restaurant, enjoying the most delicious tapas and a fantastic dessert. The tapas were so imaginative and even better than what you would find in Spain. The best part is that you can bring your own alcohol, making it a reasonably priced night out. The small venue creates a buzzing atmosphere that enhances the overall experience.
We know the Blossom Bird as a cafe and for making the best sausage rolls we have ever had. However, we went last Friday on pizza night, and they were absolutely fantastic accompanied by superb salads. We are lucky enough to live in village and so this will be a regular! We are loyal fans of the daytime cafe and now we have the weekend early evening bistro. Really imaginative tapas and excellent pizzas. Still not managed to get as far as desert. Bring your own booze makes this a very affordable early evening meal Reserva una mesa ahora
