Great place for elevated comfort food. My friend and I had great service and food on a weekday evening. Walleye shrimp slider 5/5. The slaw and capers on the slider were a great complement to the walleye shrimp cake. Brussels sprouts 2/5. Had obviously been boiled first then deep fried later. The insides were bland and watery and most of the outlet leaves came off. Flavor was dine but couldn't overcome the squishy texture and lack of flavor of the center of the sprouts. Steak and pierogies 4.5/5. Steak was tender and pierogis were perfectly crisp on the outside. The Asian ish sauce on the steak didn't work for the dish, but great otherwise. So disappointed. Frequent customers of this place for years and tonight...ugh Wanted to celebrate a birthday for dinner for 5 people, but only reservation we could get was 4:15. We thought, great, we'll hang around outside as we wait for an outdoor table because they don't take patio reservations and being patio weather we expected a wait. No problem. The nice guy/host told us it would be a 20-30 min wait. We checked back after 40 mins and the nice host apologized and we continued to wait. After AN HOUR AND 20 mins. we were told by we assume the manager that they would not squish us into a 4 top, and the people at the 5 top that we were waiting for had been there for THREE HOURS already. I recently watched episodes featuring the Minnesota State Fair on Food Paradise and Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre Foods, and I was really let down by my experience at the restaurant. I had high hopes for a distinctive dining experience, but the portion sizes were quite small, and the dishes didn’t match what I saw on screen. The chicken and waffle cone was especially disappointing; it was missing gravy and contained only a few bits of chicken in a flimsy waffle cone. It was a beautiful fall evening and after a 4 mile hike along the Mississippi we were famished. The patio had heater for this cool brisk evening. The wallleye was crisp and seasoned perfectly. The spaghetti and meatball had the biggest meatball I've ever seen. I was a little perplexed as to why apples were mixed into the veggies that came with the walleye. Stunning views and a busy patio were a big draw. Service was great. Parking can get a bit tricky on busy days.

Love this place A big outdoor seating section with trees on a bustling corner right on the river. Lots of people come here on the bike path. The burger was wonderful, and I may have had fries that good before, but never better. Have always had great servers and tonight Sully went above and beyond super friendly but never intrusive, recommended a great watermelon sour. Indoor eating is good too it's just that summer's short and outdoors is the best.
The wild rice soup was the yummiest soup I've ever had. The breakfast bowl was also super yummy and the wings were cooked perfectly. Although the Asian buffalo sauce isn't really spice at all. The customer service was great as well:
Happy hour is fantastic! It never disappoints, especially with the drinks and appetizers. Since this restaurant is a bit more affordable than others, it's a great time to go. Both of us had a wonderful experience!
There is a wide variety of options available, especially for breakfast. The American Breakfast was cooked to perfection. Amber provided friendly and outstanding service!

I moved away from Minneapolis about a decade ago, but whenever I return to the city, this restaurant is always one of my must-visit spots.
