After a disappointing experience at Layla's in the Grove, where we waited for over an hour to be seated and then waited another 10+ minutes with no service or acknowledgement, my friend and I decided to try a new restaurant in Maplewood. We were relieved to be seated promptly as the dinner rush had passed. My friend, who is gluten-free, was pleasantly surprised to find a wide variety of gluten-free options after inquiring with our server. They even assured her that they use a separate fryer for the gluten-free falafel balls. The cocktails were top-notch and the food was outstanding. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. We will definitely be coming back to this new favorite...
Been here twice now and it has become one of my favorites. Tonight was the second time going here. Started with the pork belly bites for the appetizer. Really tasty stuff, bbq sauce was great. For dinner I decided on the breakfast burger. Honestly one of the best burgers I've had in St. Louis. The mac and cheese was really good also. The first time I came here I had the pork chop entree $22). No lie it was one of the best entrees I've ever had. Pork chop was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Also came with glazed carrots, potatoes, apple biscuits, and fried egg and ham. Amazing. It all goes together perfectly. If you like great, made from scratch food come to The Blue Duck.
This restaurant is amazing! I tried the chef's tasting menu and it had a perfect combination of flavors. The sweet corn with soft shell crabs was outstanding - savory and sweet. My fiancé had the DLT, which was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was wonderful, with a decent size bar area to sit while waiting for a table. The staff was friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be there, which is rare to find in a restaurant. I will definitely be visiting again in the future!
The food here was amazing. Everything is house made down to the ketchup. You will not be disappointed with the brunch or dinner menu options. We had pork belly cheese fries, the most amazing cornbread with apple butter, duck fried rice and a chicken club... The bill was about $65 between the two of us and worth every penny!! Great size portions, the staff is awesome.

My husband and I tried this today! My husband is very picky and is always hesitant of new foods! Our server was super nice and answered all of our questions! She offered several suggestions and we loved it all! I tried duck for the first time and it was excellent! Our server was amazing! We will be back next time we are in town!
Amazing! 5 of us split 3 orders of the Tasting Menu. Everything was beyond delicious. What a fun night, sharing a wonderful meal together. Great can describe everything from the portion sizes to the service to the deserts!
Good food, great service, cute place, no rush. We enjoyed some favorites like pork steak(mmm, tender), a large! burger, a DLT (D for duck) and Izzy lasagne. All tasty and well-prepared.
Try anything that catches your eye on the menu, because it will be fantastic. This restaurant is delicious and definitely worth a try! The service is outstanding!

Trust me. There is nothing bad on the menu. It was amazing. Everything had wonderful flavor. Be sure and try the duck. Our not. It's all great.
So cute and quaint. Food was excellent and had the best **** Mary I’ve ever had! I highly recommend it!
