This restaurant has a problem with some patrons using cocaine, but only when children aren't around. They seem to share it openly among themselves. Although there's a sign in the restroom stating a zero-tolerance policy for drugs, it’s clearly not enforced, as many guests regularly go into the stalls to use. I've reported this to the manager several times, but he doesn't seem to care. I've also been told that if the police were called, they would likely find evidence of drug use.
Went for lunch with a friend after being told how good the food was here and we wasn't disappointed although the full menu wasn't on today we had a lovely homemade burger and chips not expensive and a nice pint ....fairly quiet so could have a chat although it did get busier around teatime has an outside children's area toilets are clean overall nice day in a nice pub will be going back to try more food hopefully when the full menu is back on
Visited here for a pub lunch well what I received was something else!!! Unreal the food was out of this world!!! The menu is unreal for a pub the taste and quality was not something you would think a pub could offer. Anyone looking for out of this world food in a pub look no further the menu is by David Mao who seems to be popping up everywhere I look for amazing food this is not to be missed its unreal
I made a reservation for a room through the booking.com website. However, when my wife and three children arrived at the restaurant, exhausted, they were told that they couldn't have the room without any reasonable explanation. Llevé a mi hijo para el almuerzo ya que hemos visitado antes y siempre ha sido impresionado. Soy celíaca y el restaurante atiende muy bien, incluso sirve deliciosos postres que son demasiado tentador para resistirse. No es barato, pero un lugar encantador peculiar.
It's been a few years since my first visit to this pub, but walking in today reminded me of all the good memories. It remains the best pub in Widnes, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food is amazing, and I wholeheartedly recommend this pub to everyone.
Took my son for lunch as I have visited before and always been impressed. I am a coeliac and the restaurant caters very well for this, even serving delicious desserts which are too tempting to resist. It's not cheap but a lovely quirky place.

Very impressed with the recent refurb. Food is amazing. Amazing little beer garden with a park for the kiddies. Prices are very reasonable. Friendly atmosphere. First visit was a good impression! Defo recommend.
