The Boatshed Restaurant

Fine dining prices - cafe quality (just) food. Dined last night with my partner. The restaurant was so noisy we could hardly hear each other talk so decided to have a main only so we could go elsewhere for dessert. We waited 50 minutes to get out meals - beef fillet and lamp rump. The beef at $48 was very underwhelming. The lamb was so overcooked, tough and chewy it was returned to the kitchen almost uneaten. In the restaurant's favour, they offered to cook me another lamb; however, that would have meant we each ate alone which defeats the purpose of dining out together. I wish I could post a proper review but I can't. Why? Well I never got a chance to eat there. Having loved eating there before I thought I'd book dinner on valentine's day the week before. I was told they would send me an email to book and choose the menu etc. The email didn't come so I called up only to me told the person had been busy and would get around to sending me that email. Nope -nothing came through so I booked another place--thankfully they could accommodate me & the food, service & ambience there were far superior. I used to choose or recommend The Boatshed for special dinners. Well not anymore. Definitely off my list!

View from the Boatshed Cafe are undeniably spectacular. But that's it. The cafe has recently gone more upmarket - no more family fun ice creams etc - only pricey Gelato more for adults than kids. The breakfast prices and portion value were poor. Chairs have angled legs which make getting in and out awkward when the cafe is full. Overall I wouldn't come back for a meal.

Loved this place. Not only was it the perfect scenery it was beautiful decor also. We started with a few cocktails and had the beetroot bruschetta. For main we had the barramundi and the chicken which could not be faulted... The staff were delightful and the evening was a breeze Reserva una mesa ahora

I only really go here for coffee and an occasional muffin. Its a beautiful spot but the cafe is so tiny that it's a tight spot to wait for coffees, which usually seems to take a while. The muffins aren't particularly great but are ok. Overall it's worth a visit.

Small queit cafe along the river a great spot to stop with the kids before or after visiting the zoo. Our meals were generous sizes and were delicious. Good pricing. A little playground to occupy the kids. Friendly staff and fast service. Awesome views.

I was underwhelmed during a breakfast work meeting. Eggs were over cooked and service was so unobtrusive to be non-existent. Maybe it was a bad day - the view is spectacular and worth visiting for that alone.

Such a pricey cafe indeed???? The food was pretty good. Presentation was okay. But I guess that's the price you pay when you're literally beside this amazing view of the Swan River and the city? Reserva una mesa ahora

The service was good the view is great, the food for what it is,was way, way over priced, like the foods nice but not great Not worth the money, we won't be coming back

Rude staff, below average service, food was kept on table with least attention. We were still hungry but did not feel like ordering anything else. Poor service.
