We celebrated my fiancé's 60th birthday with a visit to this restaurant, and it was truly memorable. The location is beautifully secluded in the countryside, providing a peaceful backdrop. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall experience. The food was outstanding, and the romantic atmosphere was enhanced by two cozy coal fires. The price per person was quite reasonable, ranging from £20 to £30. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Fish Pie and the Steak and Ale Pie!

Great find nestled on a country road a short walk from our AirBnB at Rose Cottage. We wnt to The Boot for lunch one day and for beer and tea the next. Everyone was friendly and the food was fresh and just what we hoped for from our first visit to a real pub in England. Fish and Chips and fish finger sandwiches were so fresh and hot! Yummy thick chips were crispy and perfect with salt and vinegar. And that Sticky Toffee Pudding Cheesecake!!! So good! Great experience! Vegetarian options: Wonderful mushroom and rosemary soup!
