The food was delicious, but the service was the worst I have ever experienced! We made a reservation for a child's 4th birthday party at least 3 days in advance and provided our food orders from the main and set menu at the time of booking. We all arrived on time at 6:00pm, as it was the earliest everyone could make it. After waiting 30 minutes, we were told that they couldn't provide any of the desserts that we had pre-ordered from the set menu because they hadn't ordered the necessary ingredients. What a wonderful pub . From the minute you walk in you feel so welcome. The staff are amazing, above and beyond in their hospitality. The ambience in the pub is great , just a lovely place for a family meal. The decor is spot on , and there's a beer garden and play area for the kids in the warmer months. The food was fantastic. Three of our party had burgers , they were huge, tasty and excellent value for money. We also had the gammon and a roast roll , again, huge , tasty and excellent value. I highly recommend a visit to the Boot and Shoe

I honestly think this place gets worse each time I've visited. Poor service, missing items, burnt pizza, burnt sticky toffee (if that's even possible) it actually tasted like a burnt ginger cake covered in toffee sauce... overpriced soft drinks. Waste of £30.

Good modern looking local pub with pizza oven as well as usual pub food selection. Smaller side rooms as well as main lounge area and outside patio with small play area.

Return visit and just as good. Went for the pizza this time. It was absolutely delicious.
