The Bottle House

Some 4 months I complained about the very poor service after having waited for over 75 minutes for our food. Shortsge of staff was given as the reason. I vowed I would not go there again. Today my partner went the service was agin terribly slow even though the restaurant was not particularly busy. Cosidering theprices it is not good enough. We will both avoid it in the future

We sat in a corner and although the place was busy and perhaps a bit slow we were never forgotten or ignored . The atmosphere was warm and friendly and so were the staff. Vegetarian food was delicious and there was a good choice of drinks . The chocolate tart alaska was so rich it beat us, but we had a really nice time and would definitely return.

What a wonderful place! Fabulous food in a characterful pub dating back to 1492. The Larkin Ale, brewed just down the road was exceptional. Delightful service and atmosphere! A MUST,

The new chef has made the bottle house one of the best pubs locally for great food. The only issue are some of the portion sizes.

Poor, slow service. Disappointing food. Had to wait an hour despite them not being particularly busy. Won’t be going back.
