The Bow Room At Grays Court

My 7 year old son had the door shut in his face by the manager. She said it was too cold and he peeked in to look at it. The junior manager, who was south Asian, was quite nice and complementary at his curious mind. (Our ghost tour mentioned grays court). But then this woman came up and pushed him out and shut the door. Very rude. I would have stayed there too! We literally were there for 30 seconds and only came because we confused the hotel for the treasurers house. Not kid friendly.

There is one word for Gray's Court, exquisite. If you want an authentic, beautifully presented luxury place to stay then look no further. Its rare to have the ability to stay somewhere rich in history, it's like booking a night at a national trust location! The food in the restaurant is very imaginative yet still retains its generalisability and deliciousness. The staff are really lovely and go the extra mile to make your stay all it can be, very personable. Couldn't recommend more!

I am very disappointed to see the article in the Press about the hotel! We have stayed here a few times and always top class service and atmosphere. We will again be getting booked in there later in the year Nearby activities: Right in the middle of York, many experiences close by Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Quiet

If I could give it 10 stars I would. This was a spur of the moment booking very late on due to work overrun. The staff could not have been more helpful even getting the chef to cook off the lunch menu at 7.30pm. I felt extremely cherished. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

Exceptional food, excellent service. Beautiful location. Worth it alone for the cheese trolley, very well selected. Particularly enjoyed the wine flight. Service: 5 Location: 5
