We went for Christmas day lunch. Firstly I will say the food was good and the staff friendly helpful. What marks it down for me was a few things. Real lack of atmosphere in the place, it was very quiet and we were in a room on our own. When the cutlery came out for desserts we got a mix of dessert spoons, soup spoons a tablespoon! My main issue is the walk to the toilets, the room you walk through is really empty apart from one table some other stored items. Then nothing beats standing at the urinals looking at a bunch of swear woods scratched into a piece of wood above the toilets. Family friendly those words aren't! We normally come for lunch during the week but last Sunday decided to try their Sunday carvery instead of going to the one we normally go to. I was really impressed. Seated at a nice table. Drinks arrived promptly and in no time we were called up to the carvery. We had the beef which was cooked perfectly and to a high standard. All the vegetables were lovely and hot and quickly replenished when needed. We added on a dessert for an extra £2 and the cheesecake was amazing. Service as well was excellent. After going back to our old restaurant this Sunday which had shocking service The Bridge is now our definite place to go to. You will not be disappointed
Went with my family last weekend and had the Sunday Carvery. Fantastic value for money, great choice (Four different meats and numerous vegetable options and really tasty. Clean and traditional Pub, with a few quirks. Staff were friendly and helpful and there's plenty of parking. Easily the best Sunday Dinner we've had in a Pub for a long time!! Would recommend this to anyone looking for reasonably priced, delicious food in pleasant surroundings :
This was our first taste of the Bridge at Stanford having decided to try somewhere new for Mother’s Day. We weren’t disappointed. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and the food itself was delicious. A lovely choice of veg to accompany a nice selection of meats. For Mother’s Day, we thought £19 for 2 courses (including a delicious choice of homemade desserts) was very good value. The ‘quirky’ old building adds an extra layer of charm.

Well I wanted to book a nice lunch for me and a friend tried another but disappointing regarding there response. Came across this place. Bargain 2 course lunch . Starter amazing. My friend said lasagne was lovely. I had the the duck. The flavours were there just bit over cooked otherwise would have got 5. Defo will return
We went for a drink first and having looked at the menu and been made to feel welcome we decided to go there for dinner. The food was good and reasonably priced, the service was excellent and it provides good parking.
This is a very friendly pub ,we visited twice had the Sunday carvery and a lovely evening meal pork lion with bbq sauce very tasty and tender ,we will visit again when in the area .
Myself and a friend visited The Bridge for the Sunday Carvery. It was excellent and superb value for money! We had the carvery and a pudding which was also excellent.

We have had a wonderful carvery today, excellent food .it was so refreshing to have such friendly and attentive serive .faultless we will definitely be back.
Fantastic Sunday carvery, could not fault it. Real home cooked delicious food. Very friendly staff. Will definitely return.
