I visited Brookside tonight, and I have to say it was definitely worth it. We traveled from York and spent the weekend at a local guesthouse, Ellerbrook House, where we were recommended to dine here. Upon our arrival, we requested a table for two and were informed that one was available, but there would be a slight delay due to a large group that had just arrived. No worries—we settled in and enjoyed some drinks while we waited. When we placed our order, the staff kindly asked if we had been informed about the wait time, to which we responded. Fantastic and friendly family pub! Very helpful staff and made to feel welcome by the locals. Recommended to us by Trevor at the Hawksmoor guest house we were staying at just down the road. We went in to watch the football on Wednesday night and to have our dinner there as well. The Guinness was good and the food was fantasticand reasonably priced too. Thanks to all for making us feeling welcome, we will definitely be back when we next visit.
This place has been completely refurbished and now does food. We had a few drinks outside one afternoon on there lovely decking area. We fully enjoyed ourselves. It's a little bit out the way, but defo worth looking for. Next time we are over Windermere we will be popping back here and we are gonna give the food a try because it smelt lovely
A party of 20 recently enjoyed a birthday meal, excellent choice.on the menu, very good prices. Staff were attentive and interested, not pushy or in a rush, we all felt valued. I recently visited a lovely pub in Brookside for the first time, and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was beautiful, and we all enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our visit even more enjoyable. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this place to others!
We just though we would try the Brookside this evening for my birthday tea and have to say it's well worth it. On arrival we enjoyed the drinks. Asked about how to order, table service. All in all, excellent service, excellent food, excellent drinks, Well done to all and we will definitely be visiting again.
I visited this restaurant a few weeks ago while staying at a local guest house, and it was fantastic! The food was excellent, they served Moretti on tap, and they had an amazing gin bar! To top it all off, they even had the F1 race on TV!
We went here for tea a few weeks ago, food was lovely. My only criticism would be the menu wasn't very big. Maybe to introduce a snack type menu with sandwiches etc?
