fabulous Sunday roasts, we went for a Christmas party on Sunday 5. the staff could not have been more helpful, from the intake of 11 people, gave us a lot of time on the table (2std45) the choice of the dishes was amazing, the bark shining onepot and maische-share was melted in mouth. the rare bratbeefsonntagsbraten was the best bark that I had in one, with super-tanged meerrettich. lammschaft was also a winner. special note on the smoked aal starter tasty . trudy our waitress was on the ball, super fast when filling these wine bottles. will definitely be back.

Ambitious food with flavors that don’t work. Aka the food was not good and far from it. The staff is excellent, kind, and tried their best to promote the food but man it sucked. To echo previous reviews (now that we’ve left and read the reviews) the salt need be toned down, a LOT, and the flavors overall are so confused. It was dog friendly which was a bonus and the drinks were inexpensive but just don’t order the food.

Great food served with lots of larger sharing dishes like pies, lasagna, slow cooked lamb etc. We had the rabbit and smoked ham pie and it was delicious. Their chips were better than McDonald’s and we mean it as a compliment. Service was fast and friendly overall great experience we would definitely return. Pub is busy as usual but there is enough social distancing between tables.

Great staff and drinks! But be vary weary of the food. I am a local and been a few times hoping it would live up to the high ratings and taste great. But always disapointed with the massive use of salt, even when requesting low salt. (maybe that's why the drinks are good! Bottom line expensive food should taste better. better food elsewhere in the area

Is it a pub or is it a restaurant? The food is spectacularly good, and it’s an excellent pub, but doing both is challenging I think.. The standout feature for me was the staff, who work really hard, are calm under pressure and I bet aren’t being paid enough. They’re brilliant.

what a nice staff the canton's arms have! a super pub with a lot of choice for beer both on the barrel and out of the barrel. a huge islandable, great. Simply put, a wonderful place to meet and enjoy the mood.

the slowly cooked shoulder of the lamb is amazing. the menu indicates that it is good for four, but for five or six people (with some pages or beginners) would work well.

really high-quality eating, good ingredients and a menu that regularly changes. the sunday roast is excellent as the foie grass.

Lovely seasonal pub food. I’ve been there with friends and family and it never lets you down. Friendly staff. Love it
