Stayed in the hotel a few times prior but had never eaten in the restaurant before. Decided to try it. Glad I did as the food was very tasty and well presented. Not a big meat eater myself, but opted for the steak with pepper sauce and it was a nice cut of meat, vegetables were tasty along with it and I enjoyed it. What else is there to say? My steak was delicious, served in a timely manner, the waitress was polite and helpful and I would recommend it based on my experience.
On the evening of our last meal before vacating the hotel , we decided we would try this restaurant and we were not disappointed!!! My husband had the double explorer burger which was delicious and I had the mixed grill which I really thought was tasty and the kids had chicken nuggets and chips which they devoured ... Our severs on the evening were especially attentive and friendly Thank you Angeline and Albertina for your fantastic service , we had a great evening
It took 20 to 30 minutes to get seated and then a further 10 minutes for an order to be asked. They gave me the wrong beer but at this point it was getting late so didn't want to fuss. We waited a further 30 to 40 minutes for out food to arrive and one of the meals was cold to warm. Won't be eating here again during our stay.
We dined here 2 evenings and the food was great. The mixed grill, explorers burgers and veal steaks were very tasty to be fair. The kids meals were good enough size and their dessert was included. We are a late night dinner here with family. Excellent good and service from Albertina. Good meat for adults and nice kids selection plus a good bottle of French red. Great for a hotel restaurant!
If you stay at the hotel the only decent place to eat is the captains library. The service is great and friendly and the food is of great value.
