The Captain's Table

I visited in late July 2021 to get a takeaway portion of chips. The window had a sign that said 'Gluten Free' and the staff were very knowledgeable. All the chips were cooked in a fryer dedicated to gluten-free items. They also had a separate fryer in the kitchen for fish in gluten-free batter. It was a quiet time when I went, so the chips were made fresh to order and were delicious. They even provided free individual sachets of Heinz Ketchup, which is also gluten-free. I would definitely return to this place.

Visited at the end of July 2021 for takeaway part of chips. Window is signed with 'Gluten Free'. Very competent staff. All chips are made in a dedicated gluten-free frit. They also have a dedicated gluten-free frit in the kitchen for fish in GF battery. It was a quiet time of day, so chips were made to order and were very nice. They also had free individual bags from Heinz Ketchup (also gluten-free). I'd go back there.

We had lunch here last week and enjoyed our experience. The service was good and the food and coffee were excellent. My wife had a great burger and I had a very big jacket potato and cheese and beans, it was lovely.

This restaurant offers fish and chips for dine-in or takeout. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend it.
