For dessert, we chose the cheese board, and I have to say, I regret not taking a photo of it. At £15, it was a letdown for the cost. It included six artisan breads or crackers, some grapes, chutney, and four very small slices of various artisan cheeses. My wife, who is pregnant, opted for a non-alcoholic cocktail that wasn’t on the drink menu but was remembered by the staff, and that cost £8.50. Despite its price, it was quite nice. A note to management: I strongly disagree with the discretionary 10% service charge added to an already pricey meal. I feel reluctant to remove it from the bill because it's the staff who have to mention that it’s included, but it's not their decision for it to...

My friend and I went yesterday (27/09/23) for lunch. We 've not been there for a while. Nice atmosphere, cozy, super clean and beautifully decorated. We both chose the fish pie which was delicious, as was the accompanying watercress, pickled red onion and pea side salad. Rounded off with a lovely dessert and a cappuccino coffee, which was one of the best I 've had dining out in a while. It turned out to be a lovely, unrushed meal, enabling us to catch up without worrying we were taking up the table for too long. Really enjoyed a very different lunch experience! Sat in a heated greenhouse with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Good variety of high quality dishes at above average prices but worth it. Very attentive staff, happy to come out in the rain to serve us! Thanks for making my Mum's birthday extra special!! Food was delicious. Good menu choice. We had a sharing tapas for a starters between 4 of us. For mains we all had the steak and ale suet pudding with veg of the season which was cooked to perfection. I called to get a drink at 7:30 in the evening, but the bartender informed me that the bar was closed. Unbelievable! Nonetheless, we decided to go to the Farmers instead, where we enjoyed a few drinks and a lovely meal.
