The Cellar - Reserva de mesa

this was our first time in the newport restaurant to eat and what a wonderful experience it was. the location on the tay is fantastic with magnificent view over the skyline of the city dundee. we have eaten a Friday night and get the tasting menu. this is by far my preferred type to enjoy a meal, so many aromen and so many experiences in a meal. the team was so professional and friendly, it felt very like we were regularly in the restaurant. they also offer a children's menu and hope to come with them some time for lunch. a great thanks to jamie and his brilliant team to make it an unforgettable evening.

excellent 7 course tasting menu. I had the meat version and my wife the vegetarian. she felt that it was a little repetitiw for her, with several cursing duplicating aromen. the only problem for us was that it took over three and a half hours, which was longer than expected, with quite a lot to wait. we sat first, which was filled with a low deck and no airflow, so we felt uncomfortable. we asked and were moved down, which was much better. but a real tasty bite!

Visited the cellar bar this evening for drinks- wow!! We were served and looked after by Quinn, who was amazing. His knowledge of the cocktails (which were delicious) was superb, 10/10 charming, friendly service. He went above and beyond to make our evening very special. Beautiful cocktails and atmosphere, we enjoyed every second. Thank you Quinn, we will be back! From Jack, Ellie, Lucy and Mark

fantastic taste......some excellent wee to go with it. would rather have a bottle of montepulciano for the whole cure next time. the love for detail was great and the dishes were beautiful with the whole individual taste. would recommend that. excellent service. great location with view of the river and the far lights of dundee shimmer through! 5 course tasting menu. Very good. Thought wine pairing a bit expensive, three wee measures for £30. Beers and cocktails were good. Nice setting we had a window table but dark outside. So if in dundee again we would go for lunch or summer evening. Get the view. Overall very good

absolutely amazing culinary experience in a surprisingly relaxed atmosphere. the eating excellent, the phenomenal and service excellent. can not wait until we return to the opposite and have the opportunity to eat here again.

Invited to a wedding evening at this venue and was lovely. So steep stairs but a handrail is provided the beer is generally bottles but the atmosphere is excellent the food was super ! A really great evening
