Writing for my parents . A dreadful experience with a group of friends. The food was pre ordered. My father didn’t get his meal, as ordered, he had to eat what he was given, as that was what was left. Others had cold veg, over cooked , inedible duck .. another gent didn’t get his meal so he had to wait 10 minutes whilst they cooked for him. All this could have been easy remedied with a member of staff apologising and caring about the whole situation. Customer service costs nothing. The general consensus between this large group of friends is that they won’t return.

Very Disappointed..Stayed in there Accommodation for a night whilst visiting for a family Party..Over priced for Standard of accommodation..very basic and in need of an Upgrade.. damp smelling..£95 for 1 night is not value for money especially without Breakfast included..Also very expensive in the Bar..didn't have food although what I seen served looked fabulous but had a drink whilst waiting for Taxi and was charged just shy of £25 for 4 drinks

The menu here is vast. You expect the food therefore to be .... not so good. Wrong it is lovely. Proper English Pub, serving good food, nice atmosphere and correctly served beer. The serving staff are young and again therefore maybe not so good. Wrong again. They are professional, engaging and good at what they do. Price is reasonable as well. Sugegst a stop off here.

Fantastic Easter Sunday roast choice of four meats, small or large plates. Lovely cooked roasties, veg and cauliflower cheese. Great food, great service, great value. Thank you

Excellent Sunday roast. Spoilt slightly by the exorbitant cost of a pint of lime and soda which almost the same price as the pint of Tanglefoot. Service: 5 Location: 4

Wide choice on menu, well cooked and presented and served by friendly staff. Good selection of fresh vegetables. Liked the idea of a choice of small or large portions.

Lovely Sunday roast. Food was hot and fresh with a good choice of meats or Vegetarian options. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Gets busy so worth booking.

Visited the Charlton for an evening meal. Vast choice at very reasonable prices. Excellent food and generous portions. Definitely will be coming back!

Lovely staff, good range of drinks. Didn’t get to try the food as they do not serve food after lunch on a Sunday. Lovely atmosphere and dog friendly.

Great pub food and good friendly service, can get busy very popular excellent value on drinks as well as food good atmosphere
