The Chateau - Reserva de mesa

We understand things are difficult in restaurants, but there were issues with our dinner. Our server was polite, but did not follow up with us during the meal and missed a drink order from one in our group. Second, this was a special occasion, a 91st birthday, and our mother grew up in the neighborhood so this place is special to her. When our meals arrived, our mother's dish did not. She had to wait another 10 minutes before she was served. We politely requested that the meal be taken off the bill, but that request was denied. That old-school feeling that comes from going here since I was 4 yrs old. Service has dropped off a bit over the past couple years. Was upcharged for the seafood Diavlo by $20 when I saw $51.80 on my bill. I asked the young girl if that was correct? Replying yes as prices had gone up. But when I came back the following week, it was still priced at $32. Minor but concerning, yet it will still be the restaurant I come to with my family.

First time in 24 years that we had a bad experience. Waitress was horrible forgot apps. Then brought out wrong app. Never offered more drinks. And food arrived less than warm.. no she wasn't busy. I watched her stand around too much and she spent a lot of time at the 5 top near us whom then left her a 27.00 tip hope it was worth all the effort she put in...

We had a Celebration of Life here; 78 dinners. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. The service was great. They worked with people who had dietary restrictions.
