Wrote a 5 star review over a year ago so thought it would be a good idea to do another one! The reason is that this pub just gets better and better. Always busy but the manager always ensures there a good number of staff serving so no matter how busy you do not have to wait very long at all; normally straight away. Not only that, every member of staff is so friendly. Always smiling and if something is not right (which is rare) they sort it out straight away. They really are a credit to the manager. Nice old style pub and always busy at the weekend, Unfortunately it's not got a great vibe for women. A load of pervy rude old drunks often stood right in the way of the women's toilets. Myself and a few friends had been touched up or had to squeeze through this group. I was told that they are regulars and it's the same every weekend. Be good if the management could ask these guys to respect female customers, Keep hand to themselves and hang about and group away from the ladies toilets. Wouldn't go back because it's not nice to have to worry about visiting the loo with a group of pervy men leering, Rude comments and grabbing our bums. Be a really great pub if this was sorted out.

I attended a Thursday night event featuring the band 33 RPM at this restaurant. The music was fantastic, the atmosphere was lively, the service was excellent, and overall it was a wonderful experience. The staff and patrons were friendly, and the manager, Cath, goes above and beyond to create a welcoming local pub where guests can enjoy themselves. The only downside is that I am currently suffering from a hangover as I write this review! Thank you to everyone involved for a great evening.

I was adopted by the chequers family and friends a real warm welcome was given in return for my beer tokens. The landlady Kath runs a tight ship and welcomes all that wish to come and enjoy. The garden is great with a Fantastic marque area for big parties and live music inside and out most weekends. My friends and I went to the Chequers for a drink as part of a day out in Billericay and as it was lunch time I decided to have some food. I ordered a cheese and pickle sandwich with a small side salad and some crisps. I have to say it was one of the best sandwiches I had eaten in a pub ever. Absolutely stunning. Will definitely be going back for more.

I absolutely adore The Chequers! The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great. The decor is beautiful and the food, drinks, and entertainment are top-notch. The place is also very clean. I'm looking forward to returning for their delicious prawn sandwich!

Great service! I came in with my Nan for some of their nice sandwiches and Jane was very helpful and managed to sort out a takeaway bag for my nans leftovers. Would definitely recommend a lunch on the tables out front on a nice day.

Popped in today for a sandwich and a lunchtime pint. The ladies behind the bar couldn’t have been more welcoming, JANE in particular was magnificent and made me the most amazing chicken tandoori wrap…. Highly recommend .. Reserva una mesa ahora

This pub is fantastic, with great music and friendly staff. The last Sunday of the month is definitely worth waiting for to visit. You won't be disappointed.

Went into the chequers Billericay on Saturday had some lunch(beef sandwiches) Everything was brilliant and so tasty. Staff are amazing Thank you
