The Chequers Inn At Thornham

A warm and inviting room awaited us on our arrival. The facilities in our room (Alder) were great, from the bath and shower to the comfortable bed, complimentary drinks, snacks, reading materials and games to the friendly welcome at reception (which was located at the sister hotel The Lifeboat Inn). We had a brilliant stay and would consider staying again. One thing to note would be the low ceiling in the room but it was fine for a night or two. The village is lovely and picturesque. It was very easy to get to the beautiful RSPB Titchwell Marsh.

Noteworthy details: Arrived at 9pm after a long day. Found there was no one to welcome us, despite informing them in advance and it being confirmed by the hotel. Very disappointed. Service: 1

Nice room, good location for walking and not far from a couple of good eating spots. Room needed a bit of maintenance (window handle hanging off). Rooms: 4 Service: 4 Location: 4
