What truly made Zubie's popular was its prime rib, especially during the weekly navy nights. To get a reservation, you had to call in early that morning. Reservations were handled like tickets for a concert—first come, first served. You’d secure a time slot, arrive, give your name, pay a mere $2.85 (back in the '70s), and then wait in line. You get to prepare your lobster just the way you like it, along with a great selection from the menu afterward. Additionally, the half rotisserie chicken is incredibly succulent, perfectly seasoned, and falls right off the bone, available for $10.95, or just $6.95 on Mondays with all sides included.

It's a dive bar, but the service and food are excellent. I recommend the chicken fried pork chop. Be advised it is not a tenderized steak, it's a pork chop, and it's great! The biscuits and gravy are ok the biscuits themselves are not homemade, but the gravy is. Even though it's a bar, kids are welcome if you are going there to dine.
I've been here for 30 years since Zubies was on 17. St. was. Every time we go the food is fantastic. The service is excellent. The menu is quite large and not one thing is not excellent. The portions are huge. This is our favorite place for families to celebrate. Only cash, but ATM is in the bar area.

Classic anybody bar! Lots of regulars in the bar. Fish tacos are my favorite right now. More menu items left to try. Chicken tortilla soup bomb. Salad with blue cheese dressing. PIZZA PIZZA! Chicken salad with ranch and Italian dressing. Plus garlic bread. So beautiful I didn't want to eat it.
Cash only, very good ceviche platter, old fashion, customers seemed to know each other! Breakfast seems special. I also ordered Philly cheese steak sandwich and it had real hunks of steak, not the thin sliced pieces, well- depends on your preference. I'm going back to Oyster Bar!
Bar only place that is okay, but the service and the food is the best and OC great family restaurant highly recommended. Ask Michelle if you go for dinner, she's the best. Also you can go into your shorts it is not a dressy place very casual

This is a great little hidden gem. Food is fantastic and they have everything on the menu. And if they don't they'll make it for you anyway!
Probably the best place in the area! A local bar and amazing food for an even more amazing price!
