The Chippie - Reserva de mesa

The food at this restaurant is delicious, but the service is surprisingly slow. Despite there only being four people in front of me, it took 40 minutes to receive my fish and chips for takeout. I have been visiting this chip shop for over 20 years and the service has never improved. Seated customers seem to be given priority over those ordering takeout.

We recently tried the fish and chips at this restaurant and they were the best we've ever had. We live in a seaside town on the east coast known for its fish and chips, but the chippie at Hawes is by far the best we've ever tasted. The service may be a bit slow, but the delicious food is definitely worth the wait.

We ate at “the Chippie” on our first night in Hawes. The staff were extremely friendly and they made us feel very welcome. My husband and daughter both had haddock and chip,which was very good. I had the homemade steak pie and chips which was amazing. A definite recommendation if you are staying in Hawes.

Fish and chips is probably my favourite meal so I have had plenty of them in various locations but I can honestly say that my haddock and chips from The Chippie yesterday was amongst the best I have tasted....the batter on the fish was THE best I have ever tasted.....will be visiting again !! Great location in the village of Hawes with plenty of shops and pubs. Staff V. friendly, good service along with very tasty food whatever you choose. I had just the Curry and Chips and the wife had the Steak Pie. This was one of the best. Would definitely recommend.

We called in for our supper, I had Haddock and chips, my husband had Scampi and chips, they were very generous portions and absolutely delicious, the service was friendly and quick. Look forward to our next visit. Thank you.

This is a small chippy and can get busy. The usual selection of food, we just went for a tray of chips. Very friendly staff, a bit pricey but I suppose it’s what you expect with such a high volume of visitors to the village.

I went with my biker friends on a journey and we arrived at a restaurant where we were able to grab some food and drinks without having to leave our bikes outside. It was the only place open in the area. Reserva una mesa ahora

Very tasty haddock and chips with a side of mushy peas! Big portions, definitely value for money. Staff were really friendly. Would definitely recommend if staying in Hawes

Best fish and chips shop. We always have them when holidaying in Hawes. A must visit when you are here.
