Very happy with my experince there was a lovely young lady working behind the counter her name was Shannon or Sharon I think , very polite and very friendly asked about our day how we had been and asked if we was up to anything nice in the evening other customers come in and she asked them the same thing very very polite , defiantly will be back agian , our chips and fish was cooked well and very tasty even had a cheeky batterd sausage without my misses knowing and that was lovely too Will be back agian thank you
For just over £7, I enjoyed a generous portion of cod and chips. Cooked fresh, I was amazed at the weight of the meal when the young lady handed me my two sporks and dinner. It must have weighed almost a kilogram! It took me half an hour to finish while I watched the sun set over the sea in Gosport from a grassy spot by the bandstand along the beautiful seafront. What a bargain! Absolutely fantastic!
17/01/22 update Return visit. Excellent fish chips served by pleasant staff. Enjoyed on the seafront on a gloriously sunny winter's day 40 mile round trip based on previous reviews. Nice chips plenty of them. Tasty fish however only three stars as the batter was slightly undercooked resulting in all being stuck to the wrapping paper and inedible. Wish I'd had my phone to take a photo.
The fish and chips here are absolutely fantastic. The prices are excellent, the staff is friendly, and the place is clean. The food is outstanding and I highly recommend it. Without a doubt, this is the best fish and chip shop in Portsmouth!

Fresh fish, the best batter I ever tried and nice chips. Extra large cod was gigantic. It was my first time in Portsmouth Historic Dock yard with children and Family. I found the Chippy on google and had a picnic on the beach. Great find
I stopped by this evening (Sunday) to grab some takeaway chips. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The chips were fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. I would definitely return again!
You will be hard pressed to find a better chippy. The chips are hand cut on the premises and delicious. We had fish and chips. Good portion size. Staff are extremely friendly. A real find!
Always been the best fish and chips in portsmouth and still doing it year after year. Service brilliant to really friendly and always a 'good evenin ' when you leave.

Outstanding! One of my favourite chippy. The food is always 10/10. Always friendly staff. Portion sizes are really good too. Nothing to complain about!!
